It starts as New York opens at 01:00 pm and the heaviest trading begins both on American and European Markets. EUR/USD, GBP/USD or USD/CHF currency pairs will be the most active during this period.

European and American trading sessions overlap has 80% of the total average range of trading for all of the currency pairs during U.S. trading hours and 70% of the total average range of trading for all of the currency pairs during the European trading hours.

Intersection of American and European Sessions are the most volatile overlapping hours of all.
